The AI Era: Intelligence as a Tool, Not a Replacement.

The AI Era
How many years have passed since What a Show® became an integral part of the web? Almost twenty years.
During this time, we have seen a succession of technologies, developments, and revolutions that have radically transformed the way web software is produced: websites, e-commerce, PWAs, cloud management systems, and store applications. Each era has brought tools that promised to be “easy, easy, easy” for anyone who wanted to create online. We remember well, 10-12 years ago, when many agencies were pushing pre-packaged WordPress sites as the universal solution. WordPress is great, but there is no CMS or tool that fits every situation perfectly: the only truly effective software is that which is created by really listening to the customer's needs.
Then came drag-and-drop builders, no-code platforms that allowed even those who didn't know what a domain was the day before to launch a website in a matter of hours. The result? Poorly performing websites, frustrating user experiences, and the widespread idea that “all web agencies are the same”: either you spend very little and get very little, or you spend a lot with no guarantees.
Today, we are in the age of AI. It seems that without artificial intelligence, we can't even do our shopping anymore. AI is very powerful; it speeds up processes, helps write code, optimize, and prototype.
But let's not forget: AI is not the brain. It is the pen. An advanced, fast pen that amplifies the abilities of those who already know what to write.

We are seeing the same pattern as years ago: first CMS "in two hours", now AI that promises websites in 10 minutes. Does it really work that way? No, if poorly managed. AI lacks human context; it does not understand the daily difficulties of those who run a business, their priorities, their fears, their real goals. It cannot replace those who listen to customers, translate needs into tailor-made solutions, and create software that did not exist before.
At What a Show®, we use AI, and how. We have always done so with every new technology, and we will continue to do so. We are not anachronistic: innovations are necessary, but they must serve people, not replace them. That's why we say “AI Plus What a Show” or “What a Show superpowers”: because for almost twenty years we have been creating software that reflects 100% of our customers' needs. Not perfect in absolute terms (no one is), but perfect for that specific customer, because we have built it by listening, understanding, and refining together.
Our team is made up of true professionals: people who don't just send a prompt and press “generate.” We create custom algorithms, unique integrations, and solutions that are born out of passion and listening. AI amplifies our powers—as it would Superman's—but only if it is based on competence, experience, and correct thinking. Otherwise, it only amplifies limitations, and in the end, it is the customer who pays the price, ending up with a product that is far from what they imagined.
AI is changing everyday life, let alone work. But it will never replace a good lawyer, accountant, engineer... or a real web designer. It is an amplifier: if you empower a team of professionals, they become Avengers. If you empower those who improvise because “it's easy now,” you only get noise.
We see “Powered by AI,” “Accelerated by AI,” and “AI Chat” everywhere. Big words. Integrating AI just to say “we have it too” is like pouring a glass of water into the ocean: it changes nothing.
We prefer to use it to make a real difference: to listen better, develop faster, and personalize more. Always with people at the center.
Because after almost twenty years, our belief remains the same: technology is a tool. The real value lies in the people who use it with passion and expertise.
